Friends AGM announced for 27 June 2011

Early each summer the group must hold an AGM that has the purpose of electing the Executive Committee, providing chairman’s and treasurer’s report, and generally informing members of what has been taking place and what the plans are for the year ahead. This year it will be in Lisvane Old School, Lisvane, Cardiff, from 7 – 8 pm on Monday 27th June. Rosie James (Cardiff Parks Dept Landscape Officer) and Alec Stewart (Cefn Onn Park Ranger) have both kindly agreed to give guest presentations on Cardiff Council’s Plan and the Ranger activities respectively.

This is AGM marks the first anniversary of the Friends Group and, apart from the usual quick formalities of an AGM, it will be a good chance for members to hear what we have been up to this year, for your Committee to outline what our vision is for the year ahead, and also hear from our two guest speakers from the County Council Parks Department. All of the current Executive Committee have agreed to stand again so please don’t worry about the usual stuff in AGMs of being roped into something if you turn up! As members you have every right to influence the direction of the Group and we very much look forward to meeting you if you are able to attend.
